Guide & Security Overview
Everything you need to know about high-speed local transfers.
Why You Need High-Speed Local Transfer
Traditional file sharing methods often rely on cloud servers, which means your files must travel to the internet and back down again. This is slow and eats up your data. Filebrr Send uses a direct connection between your devices on your own Wi-Fi network, providing significantly faster speeds and complete privacy.
How to Use Filebrr Send (Step-by-Step)
- Open the App: Load this page on both the Sender and Receiver devices.
- Pair the Devices: On the Sender device, either type the Target Name shown on the Receiver's screen or tap Scan QR to scan the Receiver's code.
- Establish the Link: Tap Link. The status will change to "Securely Paired" once the connection is successful.
- Choose Your Files: Tap the upload zone to select the photos, videos, or documents you want to transfer.
- Send: Hit the Send to Paired Device button. Your files will stream directly to the other device and prompt a download automatically.
Privacy First: No Cloud, No Logs
Our philosophy is built on zero-trace architecture. Because the transfer happens directly between browsers, the actual content of your files never touches our servers. We simply help the two devices find each other on the network, and the browsers handle the heavy lifting of moving the data securely.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a cable to transfer files?
No! As long as both devices are connected to the same local Wi-Fi network, they can communicate wirelessly without any hardware cables.
Is there a file size limit?
We recommend keeping files under 100MB for the best experience. Larger files can be sent, but your browser's memory capacity will determine the final limit.
